Welcome to X-Ray Vision
Welcome comic fans young and old! X-Ray Vision is here to review comics, recommend titles, and discuss pretty much anything else comic related. If there are any topics that you’d like covered just leave a message or comment. Without further ado here is the first X-Ray Vision post, enjoy!
After seeing a decline in interest during the 90’s, comic books are back and bigger than ever! Hollywood has brought attention back to men and women performing heroic acts clad in spandex and I couldn’t be more thankful. While I must admit some of the movies have been a disappointment such as the lackluster Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, movies like 300 and Sin City have truly brought their respective comics to life. And of course I have to mention The Dark Knight. This blockbuster has set the bar for all comic book movies. This was an epic story with larger than life characters, exactly like the books. Most of all, these movies have shown that comic books can have mainstream appeal and are not just for kids. Everyone can enjoy them and with Hollywood shining the spotlight on them more people are seeking out the comics the movies are based upon. That is why I have to say thank you to Hollywood for introducing others to what I am so passionate about, keep up the good work!
