300 Weiners
A comic book movie I have yet to talk about is 300. I don’t know how this happened, I absolutely love that movie. It definitely isn’t a thinking movie, but I am not afraid to admit that every now and then I enjoy watching pure violence between men who have physiques that rival my own.
The way this movie was shot is amazing. The effects are awesome and the fight scenes, AKA 95% of the movie, are just as bloody as I like them. The story is well known, based off an actual historical event known as the Battle of Thermopylae. So yes, 3000 men whooping up on 10,000 is actually historically accurate. The best part of this movie is how close it stays to the graphic novel written by Frank Miller. The storyline follows the graphic novel’s pretty much step for step. The only big change made was the Spartans actually covered their man parts when they fought in the movie. I have to say I’m grateful for that change.I am also grateful that we see Lena Headey, AKA Sarah Connor from Terminator, naked.
Now enjoy watching the workout routine the actors did to play Spartans and made Gerard Butler a beast of a man. I get tired just watching it.
