300 Sequel in the Works
Well first off I have to wonder what they could call the sequel, since 299 of the 300 original guys are dead. Will it be 10,000? That’s the number of Spartans ready to lay the smack down on the Persians at the end of the first movie. Maybe they’ll advance the title like in the 100 and whatever Dalmations and call it 301.
Zack Snyder, director of 300 and Watchmen, said that he knows Frank Miller is currently working on a script for this as of yet unnamed 300 sequel. That doesn’t mean that it will definitely get made, but considering the popularity of the first movie I would be fairly surprised if it didn’t. Of course Snyder wants to keep all the gory action and same cinematography style as he had in the first one, and I’m assuming the Spartans will still be muscly men in minimal clothing. I for one wouldn’t mind a sequel, the first one is entertaining just because it’s straight up action, and that’s what I’d expect from any movie with the Spartans.
