Thanks for Thanksgiving
I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving and weren’t annoyed too much by various members of your extended family. If your Thanksgiving was anything like mine it involved eating way too much and watching football (go Broncos!) and then some light browsing for comic related sales for this Black Friday. Unfortunately I am lazy, and didn’t feel like getting up in time for any Black Friday bargains, so I might as well not even write about them because you are all out shopping right now.

Instead I will talk to you about the comic I am possibly most thankful for. That would be none other than NFL Superpro. What could be more American than a guy who got superpowers from huffing fumes and putting on an advanced set of pads? Plus it was written by Fabian Nicieza, the current writer for the Deadpool series. A combination for success? Not at all. Superpro was terrible. Yet for some strange reason I couldn’t make myself stop reading it. It was so bad it was fascinating. Looking back over the series (yes I own the entire series, don’t judge me) it was all so over the top. That plus Superpro was a villain himself! He stole his super football pads from a scientist and never returned them! That is what America is all about, do whatever it takes to kick some ass! Mostly I am thankful that Superpro showed not every comic has to be dark, gritty, or even that good to be enjoyable.

Well I had a good Thanksgiving this year but I was freakishly tired due my main job but I had such a good time. It looks that you have one too; opposite to you I went a little bit to the Black Friday bargains but damn people are like animals that day, next year I will do it online it’s too much for me but I found Stargate Atlantis Season 5 for 15 dollars so in my opinion the trip to the mall was worth it. Have a nice week.
